Red Fig tomato Grown in American gardens since the 18th century. Heavy yields of 1"" pear-shaped tomatoes. Great for fresh eating but also used as a substitute for figs years ago by gardeners who would pack away crates of dried, preserved tomatoes for winter use. All packs of tomato seeds are weighed to 0.1 gm and contain aprox. 25 - 40 seeds, about double a store pack.
Get your seeds EARLY. Tomatoes need to be started 4-6 weeks before you want to plant them out.
I DO save ALL my tomato varieties myself. This is the same seed that I use for my market garden business. In the spring we sell plants for at least 300 varieties of tomatoes at the Farmer's Markets. We also plant out a good selection of the varieties for fresh tomatoes later at the markets. All my varieties have some specific great trait or 2 that makes them good varieties to grow.
