San Marzano Roma (80 days) A little later than Roma, with superb flavor in slightly rectangular-shaped fruits (3-1/2"" x 1-1/2"") that are bright red and hang in large clusters. Holds well on the vine and in storage. Extra-high solid content is perfect for canning. Indeterminate.
All packs of tomato seeds are weighed to 0.1 gm and contain aprox. 25 - 40 seeds, about double a store pack.
Get your seeds EARLY. Tomatoes need to be started 4-6 weeks before you want to plant them out.
I DO save ALL my tomato varieties myself. This is the same seed that I use for my market garden business. In the spring we sell plants for at least 300 varieties of tomatoes at the Farmer's Markets. We also plant out a good selection of the varieties for fresh tomatoes later at the markets. All my varieties have some specific great trait or 2 that makes them good varieties to grow.
